Here we go again, another pitch for our Forsyth County Commission to mandate blanket residential design standards on all new rezoning countywide.  Please understand, nobody wants nice neighborhoods more than I do.  Nobody wants to maintain property values in Forsyth County more than I do.  And nobody wants to maintain the character of Forsyth County more than I do, as a county resident for over 34 years. Last week, supporters of gubernatorial candidate Casey Cagle had the opportunity to learn a hard truth.  That truth is that their candidate for Georgia’s highest elected office readily promotes “bad policy” if it works to his political advantage.  You see, last week was when a concealed recording went viral in which Georgia’s Lieutenant Governor and odds-on favorite for governor, bragged about promoting and passing, “bad policy,” for what he termed, “politics.”  According to the audio, Cagle pushed an education bill, which he admitted was bad “in a thousand different ways,” because in his words, “There’s a group that was getting ready to put $3 million behind Hunter Hill.”  Had fellow candidate Hill received those funds, Cagle reasoned that the eventual 3rd place finisher could have made the recent Republican primary much closer. I recently wrote of a war being fought, not abroad, but right here in America.  I contended that today’s enemies walk among us.  They wage wars of misinformation and disinformation, weapons designed to foster confusion and distrust among the American people.  They charm us to believe as they do.  They soften our resolve. They divert our attention toward seeking entertainment rather than satisfying life goals through personal achievement and helping others.  And while there are many who recognize and resist their efforts, there are just as many who unfortunately succumb to enemy purposes.  The resulting divisions among the American people may prove the issue of our generation.  Today I build on that theme. For as long as man has stared toward the heavens and wondered why, and subsequently charged his sciences with the responsibility of answering that question, the holy grail of that largely worthy discipline has been to discover the origin of life itself, of course assuming as a foundational aspect of that effort, that with no help from outside the physical world, "something," originally morphed out of "nothing."  The built-in assumption regarding the scientific perspective on the origin of life is that "life" must have resulted naturally from "no-life."  If that is true, then a verified, reproducible life-creation discovery could even, eventually, place science into a position of supervising that activity.  If that is not true, then science ultimately has little to consider here. I have often wondered whether the greatest time to have lived as an American might have been during the 1940’s.  It was during that time that my parents and others of their day earned the title, “Greatest Generation.”  They were the generation, who as fate determined, found themselves tasked with the purpose of defeating powerful Nazi and Imperialist aggressors, in the end preventing, or at least postponing, enslavement of the world.  The state of the world then was far from ideal, which is largely my point.   Relative to their time in history and the conditions of life they entered, that generation advanced the ball.  They defeated their day’s enemies overseas and returned home to build a life, work on social problems, raise the next generation, my generation, and now they are practically gone. In recent weeks, my articles have addressed certain outside influences at work guiding Forsyth County planning purposes .  I began citing three “residential design standards” meetings I attended, run by private consultants rather than county planners.  In each, I witnessed those consultants leading a smattering of attendees, ostensibly representing the entire population Forsyth County, through a process designed to appear democratic, but instead is one in which the results are predetermined.  I referred to these meetings as “ Delphi sessions .” So how do I know that the procedures I witnessed were designed to fool the attendees toward predetermined outcomes?  I simply observed and asked.  In the first meeting, the consultant leading the program told the attendees that the input they offered in the form of “yellow stickies” placed upon various residential design elements “they liked,” would lead to tabulated results to be used later in process.  Yet in ...

Over the past several weeks, I have shared with you knowledge of an outside agenda actively working to guide Forsyth County planning purposes.  Last week, I documented the progression of that agenda, one which emerged several decades ago under the auspices of the United Nations and which reshaped an entire body of US Federal regulations during the administration of President Bill Clinton.  Since then, those regulations have been continually expanded and enforced on the states.  That agenda has a name: “Agenda 21-Sustainable Development.” What led me to bring this up is that a few weeks back I discovered a movement afoot in the workings of the Forsyth County Planning Department, an initiative to empower county government to control and standardize what new privately-built homes in Forsyth County must look like.  As a builder in my 4th decade, that prospect is so peculiar, so foreign and shocking, I had to know more.  So I attended three associated events...

Last week, in my article entitled, “County Government Represents You, No one Else,” I wrote that the enemies against whom President Trump has been battling since taking office have a presence right here in Forsyth County.  I cited an agenda pushed here, and for that matter in every county in Georgia and every state in America.  I revealed that the agenda to which I referred is one laced among a host of federal and state regulations.   I left you with a reminder that, regardless of any agendas foisted upon those holding elected office in our county government, our Constitution requires Forsyth officials to prioritize the interests of the citizens who elect them first, before considering lesser interests of private developers, or agendas imposed by regional commissions or the State of Georgia.
